Candace Botha, publisher of Sarasota Pet Magazine, and Mary Lou Davidson of SarasotaDog.com are each extremely active in the Sarasota animal community with their respective media properties. In May 2011, Botha and Davidson worked in tandem to create the first Dog Day Afternoon at Gettel Toyota in Bradenton. The event was considered a resounding success from dog lovers and the rescue community, resulting in more than 15 dogs finding their forever homes.
Candace had long considered hosting a holiday celebration to serve the local Sarasota community that would include a festive, one-stop shopping experience and also connect adoptable dogs with potential families. In 2011 this idea came to fruition with the First Annual Jingle Paws Jubilee held at co-presenter Jennifer Hummel’s ACE Pet Resort.
With more than 1200 attendee’s at the 2011 event it was necessary to relocate to a larger venue. Twin Lakes Park was the site of the 2012 and 2013 event. This year, we are proud to announce that the Fourth Annual Jingle Paws Jubilee will be held at Sarasota County’s PAYNE PARK in downtown Sarasota.
Located at 2050 Adams Lane, just off Route 301 – Payne Park will provide the perfect backdrop to SHOP, ADOPT and BE MERRY! See you there on December 7th – OPEN at 11:00 am.
